FTP:

(File Transfer Protocal)

If you already know how to access an ftp site then all you need is the info in the "Quick Info" box. If you are new to the whole concept then follow the instructions for the appropriate operating system.

Mac OS X:

The first thing you will need to do is gain access to an ftp program. To make this process as easy as possible we have posted an ftp program on our site that you can download by simply clicking HERE.

The file that is downloaded is a zipped (compressed) folder. This file should automatically uncompress to a folder named "Cyberduck" - if it doesn't then simply locate the file you downloaded and double click on it to uncompress it. Once downloaded and uncompressed double click on the "cyberduck" folder and locate the application named "Cyberduck". Double click on this application to start the Cyberduck ftp program. Click the "New Connection" button in the upper left corner of the window that appears as shown below:

Then in the dialog box that appears enter "ftp.studiojdesign.com" for the server, "studioj" for the username and "public" for the password - then press the "Connect" button to make the connection.

Once connected all you need to do is click the "Upload" button, as shown below, and search for the file you wish to upload.

The file is now uploaded!

Windows:

The first thing you will need to do is gain access to an ftp program. To make this process as easy as possible we have posted an ftp program on our site that you can download by simply clicking HERE.

The file that is downloaded is a Windows executable (.exe) file. Once downloaded double click on file "ws_ftp.exe" to install the ftp program. Follow the on-screen instructions to install. Once installed locate the shortcut for this application on your desktop and double click on it to start the ftp program. You should now be confronted with a dialog box similar to the one shown below:

Enter "ftp.studiojdesign.com" for the Host Name/Address, "studioj" for the User ID, and "public" for the Password - then click OK.

You should now be connected and be looking at a window similar to the one below:

The window is divided into two seperate columns. The column on the left has access to your computer and the column on the right has access to our ftp server. The program defaults to its own folder on your computer, so you will have to double click on the green arrow in the upper left-hand side twice to get bck to the root directory of you C drive as shown below:

Now you should see all the files on your C drive appear in the left column. To upload a file to our ftp server simply locate the file you would like to upload from your computer in the left column, click on it once to hightlite it, then click the right arrow button located between the two columns as shown below:

The file is now uploaded!
